The Family
Thirty years of experience, courage and hard work for a wine family that, along with other pioneering producers, has made history in the Hills of Tortona.
The power of simplicity
Our company is an entrepreneurial reality born and developed in Colli tortonesi, specifically in the municipality of Costa Vescovato, and covers a total area of 28 hectares cultivated with Barbera, Timorasso, Cortese, Croatina and Moscato: 18 blacl grapes and 10 white grapes.
Until the 90s the management was done in the traditional way it. It is with the arrival of Luigi, that the method and production are completely revolutionized. Since 1992 Luigi Boveri, the founder’s grandson, with the help of his wife Germana decided to direct production exclusively to viticulture, abandoning the cultivation of cereals and fodder.
“From those years we started the wine prodcution I like, that of the winemakers. Not the ‘farmer’s wine,’ badly made, not just the industrial one. A new era began, that of wine made by a craftsman of our land.”
We follow production by taking advantage of constant updates and all those technological innovations that allow us to transform grapes into fine wines. Since 1999 we have been present in all Italian wine guides, placing us at the top for the production of high-level wines throughout the Colli Tortonesi community.

The wines I like to make? Those that are honest and sincere, that represent our territory.
Louis Boveri
“We started from scratch, we really had nothing. The Estate is merciless, when she calls you have to be there, to the point that we even had to cancel our honeymoon. Then the children came: we took care of them too, and of our elders as well.
In these 30 years we have worked hard, but I would do it all over again.”
A family passion
Germana Ciccotti, Luigi’s wife, is among the architects of the success of our Estate characterized by deep family tradition and passion.
Luigi and Germana produced the first label in 1992; today their children Francesco, Matteo and Sara are also passionately entering the world of wine and its production.
“I am proud to be a farmer’s wife,” Germana says, “because if there is an honest and highly revolutionary act that a winemaker can do, it is ‘doing politics’ through the production of excellent wines that can tell and promote a territory. We know that we have a great responsibility: to leave our children an intact and valuable territory for their future. This is also why we carefully enhance the native grape varieties of the Colli Tortonesi, such as Timorasso and Barbera, which tell what is unique about this territory.”
